Geotack

Privacy policy

Geotack: GPS Map Camera, by NK Tools. Effective 5 November 2026.

Geotack is a camera that stamps the date, time, address, coordinates and a small map onto your photos. This policy explains what stays on your phone and what leaves it.

Your photos stay on your phone

Photos you take are stamped on your phone and saved to your phone's Pictures/Geotack folder, where other apps you allow (like your gallery) can see them. Geotack also keeps copies of your most recent stamped photos (up to 60) in its private storage for the Recent photos screen and sharing. Geotack never uploads your photos. When you tap Share, a photo goes only to the app you pick.

To stamp older photos, you pick them with Android's photo picker, so Geotack only receives the photos you choose, never the rest of your gallery.

Location

Geotack uses your precise location only while the app is open, to put the coordinates, accuracy and altitude on the stamp and in the photo's EXIF data. It never uses location in the background and never stores a location history. Saved places (a name and coordinates you choose) are kept in the app's private storage.

Two features send an approximate position off your phone so the stamp can show an address and a map:

Geotack itself (NK Tools) does not receive your location.

Camera

The camera is used only to take the photos you shoot. Nothing is recorded or sent anywhere.

What else is kept on your phone

Your stamp settings, note and project text, photo numbering, which layouts you unlocked, and a few counters (how many photos you saved, whether we asked for a review, whether ads may start) are kept in the app's private storage. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data removes them.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

Geotack is free and shows ads using Google AdMob (the Google Mobile Ads SDK). The ads SDK only starts after you save your first stamped photo or ask to unlock a layout. To show, measure and limit ads and to prevent fraud, Google may collect and process:

The ads SDK never receives your photos or your GPS position. This data is collected by Google, not by NK Tools, and is handled under Google's Privacy Policy. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services. Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), Geotack asks for your consent through Google's consent message, and you can change your choice at any time from Settings › Ad privacy choices in the app. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings.
